Free Minor Home Repairs
¬ Corrects health and safety concerns in the home,
¬ Assists the elderly and disabled to improve quality of life.
¬ Preserves and maintains habitability of aging homes in the City.
Who is Eligible?
¬ Seniors (62 years and older) or Permanently Disabled persons
¬ Owner-occupied single family homes in the City of Los Angeles
¬ Low Income (see income limits below)
Other households may qualify under certain conditions:
¬ Permanently disabled family member in the home
¬ Building code citation
¬ Emergency condition with an immediate effect on health and safety
What Services are Available?
¬ Repairs to doors and windows
¬ Exterior repairs/improvements: fences, gates, porches, steps, walkways, gutters, vents
¬ Interior repairs/improvements: flooring, light fixtures, outlets, smoke detectors
¬ Minor plumbing repairs: sinks, faucets, toilets
¬ Accessibility improvements: ramps, hand rails, grab bars, disabled access toilets
¬ Painting
All work is limited to items that do not require a City building permit or formal inspection.
All work is subject to availability of funds.
